Last night, my new Ella Moss Zipper Leggings arrived in the mail from Saks Fifth Avenue. I am (and have been for a number of years) a major legging devotee. An ideal alternative to skinny jeans and a great way to change up your look a little, leggings quickly became a staple in my wardrobe. But plain black leggings (almost all of mine are from American Apparel) get a little boring, so I was thrilled when almost every designer started coming out with "novelty" leggings this year. I bought the shiny "liquid" ones right away, and then decided that I also had to have a pair with zipper detailing...
After a quick browse on Saks' website (I had a gift card to spend), I came across Ella Moss' "Zipper Leggings" and immediately hit "add to cart"! In a thinner, silkier rayon than my usual cotton ones, these leggings have an amazing luxe feel to them. They also have a fairly low rise (a must for us petite girls...) and fabulous seaming just under the knee, making them feel closer to tailored skinny pants than tights. The zippers go from the outer ankle to the top of the calf and can be kept zipped all the way for a really sleek look or partially unzipped for a little attitude. I would suggest ordering them in a size smaller than normal (I wish they had come in an XXS as the XS is more like a Small) so that the weight of the zippers don't weigh down any excess fabric.
One word to the wise...these are still LEGGINGS and not pants! Please treat them accordingly and wear them with a tunic-length top...thanks ;)
