There are many reasons why I love this sequin-embellished tunic from BCBG. First, it's from BCBG...and I have been a huge fan of this brand for as long as I can remember. They repeatedly put out perfectly on-trend, gorgeously flattering, and oh-that's-just-what-I-wanted pieces. From bags to shoes to formal gowns to work-appropriate trousers, BCBG gets it right season after season for me.
Second, the dove grey color is my absolute favorite for the Fall/Winter season. Grey in general is a universally flattering hue, a lot less harsh than black, and often unexpected (especially in NYC!). The third thing I love? Those gorgeous sequins! Right on-trend with the shine explosion happening in fashion this season, these are controlled enough to cover with a boyfriend blazer during the day, but statement-making enough to support an entire outfit pretty much on its own (all it needs for a night out is a pair of black leggings and sleek black platforms!). And lastly, I am pretty much a sucker for any caftan-inspired silhouette, and with it's tunic length and flowing sleeves, this top is the exact right shape.
Oh, and how could I forget the oh-so-important fourth reason? With all its silk, embellishments, and detail, BCBG once again proves that high-quality fashion doesn't need to be unattainable with this $238 pricetag...
