Romeo and Juliet is not only one of the best love stories of all time, but it is also an amazing inspiration for style and a certain grandeur taste level. A wedding is a phenomenal vehicle to submerge yourself in romantic and timeless Romeo and Juliet elegance (minus the tragic ending!).
The first place to start? The dress! I am always partial to all Marchesa dresses; Marchesa designs are always so delicate, flowy and simply dream like!
I love this silk chiffon and silk crepe Marchesa wedding gown, available on ShopBop
I know I've posted about Jenny Packham before, but she deserves more than one mention for dresses that Claire Danes would have loved to have worn for Leonardo DiCaprio! (I still love that movie..and the soundtrack!)
Jenny Packham "Callie" and "Damask" are two of my favorite, but I love her whole collection! www.jennypackham.com
You don't need to head to Verona to recreate this fabulous ambiance BUT if you did want to get married in Italy..You actually can get married on the famous Romeo and Juliet balcony! The balcony is located on the second floor of the supposed 14th century Casa di Guilietta in Verona, Italy.
These fantasy nuptuals cost 1,000 Euros, and with that you secure rental of the house and balcony. The ceremony itself has to be performed inside the house, but how amazingly romantic would your after ceremony kiss be on that balcony?! Contact the Verona Tourist Center for more details.
