The Fourth of July means: The Declaration of Independance. Freedom for all Amercans. Appreciation for our country. And of course with that year after year goes a BBQ and typically some drinking to celebrate. Beer does the trick for a 4th of July party and wine is always a safe choice to serve, but I like the idea of making something (simple!) and festive for the occasion. Sangria is a surefire crowd pleaser, and with this colorful twist, your guests will think you slaved over this while it really took minimal prep work. The hardest part of this recipe is just getting to the liquor store and supermarket to make sure you have the ingredients on hand. The result is visually impressive, refreshing and tasty!
Pineapple, cut into stars (you only need a few floating in there)
2 bottles dry white wine
1 cup triple sec
1/2 cup berry flavored vodka
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup simple syrup
Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher, stir, and chill in the fridge for four hours before your guests arrive.
Happy 4th everyone!
