There is something so Parisian and chic about a classic high-heeled stiletto. No giant platform, no crazy colors, no edgy spikes...just a well-made, uber-feminine, wear-them-with-a-pencil-skirt-or-moto-jeans pair of perfect stilettos. For someone like me, though, who is 4'11" and really only ever wears platforms with a 5- or 6-inch heel, it is hard to find "regular" stilettos with a high enough heel that actually feel comfortable (those beloved platforms make every pair of heels much easier to wear!). Until yesterday, that is...
...when I discovered French Connection's current line of stunning, totally "Parisian-chic" stilettos! I was way too excited to immediately buy a pair, seeing as they all have almost 5-inch heels and a tiny little 1/2-inch hidden platform. In fabulously saturated but neutral shades of black and nude, they are modern (a skinny heel, an almond toe, and that amazing little secret platform), insanely flattering (a low-cut front and beautiful lace or mesh insets that instantly elongate your legs), and surprisingly comfortable (really soft suede and again...the platform!). Each pair has little details that make them never boring but also never too trendy, like those lace insets or subtle, flat disc studs. These work with anything from ripped-up boyfriend jeans to your best don't-mess-with-me suit, or a formal dress at a wedding to leather leggings for a night out. The "Cybill" and the "Calista" are my personal favorites, and each will only cost you $150 or less!
I won't tell you which ones I bought, but it doesn't really matter...seeing as I'm ordering the other ones right now...;)
