You can never go wrong buying an engagement or wedding gift off of someone's registry...after all, they have hand picked all of those items and obviously would love to own them! However, the champagne toasting flutes available on most registries like Macy's, Crate & Barrel, and Bed Bath & Beyond are well, um, a little....boring. The bride to be may have even registered for them out of default of not having a more interesting selection. If you know your bride well, and know their taste well (think CLOSE family or friend!) it is absolutely OK to veer off of their regsitry and surprise them with something fabulous they normally would not have found on their own.
This wedding season, more and more brides are opting for a blush, ivory and gold color scheme. Blush is a huge trend and in my opinion, a subtle hue that adds some color to your wedding palatte but in an elegant upscale way. Not too "girly," this shade of pink may even get the seal of approval from the groom! If you know this is a hue that the couple is working their day around, I would suggest these unique toasting flutes as a gift (or just for your own home...gift yourself!) It is not easy to find the perfect color of tinted glass....and I love the shape and gold rim. True elegance and sophistication for their first toast as husband and wife! The price tag is just right as well, at $68 from BHLDN.
