I am having a watch moment. I haven't bought a new one in quite some time, and so many great designers have debuted gorgeous watch collections lately that are also at fantastic price points. However, in my search for what I want next, I was at a loss for what I really wanted...or needed in my little collection. I have a yellow gold, a rose gold, a silver & white, an amazing diamond-encrusted one from the 1920's, and so on...
So when I saw this lovely-yet-still-edgy one from Vince Camuto, I was instantly smitten. First of all, I am a huge VC fan in general...the brand makes amazing heels (I always praise their abilitiy to make 5-inchers feel like 3...) and have come out with a perfectly on-trend line of clothing as well. Second...well, look at this baby. In an unexpected warm-and-cool color combo of rose gold and gunmetal, this is unusual enough to be interesting, but not so out-there that I will get sick of it. The subtle smattering of tiny crystals around the dial and inside the face are the perfect amount of sparkle...any less and it wouldn't make such an impact...any more and I'd feel funny wearing this during the day! In addition, the balance between edgy and ladylike is done exactly right...because at 42mm, this is a BIG watch (especially for us tiny girls!), a trend that clearly isn't going anywhere (yippee!) and always looks cool. And at $250, this is totally affordable (and looks way more expensive than it is!).
By the way, my birthday is in less than 3 weeks. You know, just in case anyone wants to buy this for me...before I buy it for myself!
