I love white in the winter. And not that silly "winter white" that is really cream, ecru or wishy-washy off-white. I like pure, bright white, the color of fresh snow. And it's totally appropriate in the winter, but just dependant on finding the right fabric, weight, and styling. For example, a white cotton dress in January? Nope, not a good idea. But heavy denim with contrasting dark-colored detailing? Yes yes yes...perfect idea! Which is why I simply had to share these jeans from Lucky Brand with you, right away...
Lucky Brand is known for its soft-but-significantly-weighted denim, as well as their comfy fit. So these "Charlie Skinny" jeans may in fact be super slim-fitting, but they will also be easy to wear...and incredibly flattering (Dear Lucky Brand...thank you for getting the back-pocket size right...we appreciate it!). In the brightest bright white, they also have a striking black piping detail down each leg and at the front pockets. What this does is so good on multiple levels...first, it brings a winter-y feel to white jeans. Second, it makes your legs look suuuuper long and thin because everyone's eyes follow that narrow black line, taking your legs with them!
To keep them winterized and not feel like you are rushing Spring (but who are we kidding...you and me are both clearly already rushing Spring...), style these accordingly. Try wearing them with sleek black leather booties with an equally skinny stiletto heal and a chunky black sweater. Or dress them up with red patent stiletto pumps and a gunmetal metallic silk blouse. And because these really are so versatile, once it's actually Spring, go ahead and pair them with a bright tank top and peep-toe sandals to welcome the warmer temperatures.
