Can you believe 2014 is almost here? The year has flown by! For all of you having guests over for New Years Eve, I found this really great and super easy fabulous craft! Whether you are age 5 or 45, this DIY craft to ring in the New Year appeals to everyone from a kids sleepover or a fancy black tie affair. All you need are wooden popsicle sticks, Jingle bells (they should be on sale now!), ribbon and metallic paint...all items that you can find at your local Michaels, Target, or Walmart.
First step is to cover the wooden sticks with your favorite metallic paint and let them dry. Then, tie one end of your ribbon to the stick, about two thirds of the way down. String the jingle bells into the ribbon, tightly wrap it around the stick, and make sure you tie the ribbon on securely (a little glue dot or a dab from a hot glue gun will also help make sure your noisemakers don't fall apart). Display your jingle bells in a pretty basket, or hand out to your guests right before midnight for a fun (yet noisy!) welcoming to 2014!
Happy New Year, have a safe, healthy and happy one!
