I have a serious thing for nude accessories. Blush, pale peach, the lightest camel...you name the shade of nude and I'm all over it. With bags, it looks rich and clean and goes with any outfit. With scarves, these shades next to your face are super flattering (like being in pale pink lighting all day!). And with shoes, these colors look good on almost any skintone, make your legs look a million miles long, and can be really ornately designed without completely stealing the show.
So when I saw the "Dubianna" sandals from Schutz...well, I nearly had a nude-induced fainting spell. In all seriousness, though, these are just stunning for so many reasons. The color, to start, is a perfect nude that is slightly on the pale peach side and somehow manages to look good on every skin tone...super pale, sun-kissed and naturally dark all included. The 4-inch stiletto heel is actually manageable and the laser-cut leather with the skinniest lace-up through the shoe and around your ankle is simply beyond sexy.
I want to wear these just as much with a long gold Halston-in-the-70's gown and diamonds as I do with a little white cotton sundress and turquoise jewelry. In other words, they work equally well super dressed-up as an alternative to "evening" heels or as a fabulous little boho-chic touch to a downtown lunch date. But no matter what, they will make your legs look amazing (the cut-outs keep them airy, while the lacing keeps them securely on your feet!) and are the absolute perfect peach nude that makes me and my wardrobe so happy. Oh, and they look like they cost waaaaay more than their $220 price tag. Which makes me even happier...
