Fashion Stylist, On-Camera Host & Founder of Life, Styled.
Editor-in-Chief, StyleWhipped.com
Alison Stewart grew up in Westfield, New Jersey, graduated from The University of Maryland, and is proud to say she has no plans to live anywhere but Manhattan (ever!). A life-long lover of all things fashion, Alison was initiated into the world of glitz by one grandmother (the one who added gold bows to all of her shirts…) and the world of glamour by the other (the one who wore couture suits to brunch…at the beach house…). As a child she played “jewelry store” for hours on end, teaching all of her “customers” what went with what. And although she started her career in luxury goods public relations and event planning, Alison always knew exactly what she wanted to do.
So over the years, she began helping people dress for parties and job interviews, and then started styling the look of those parties…as well as engagement rings, photo-shoots, and everything in-between. Soon, a full-blown fashion styling career had evolved, and Alison now focuses her efforts on styling complete wardrobes, event-specific looks, editorials and more. She founded the full-service styling company Life, Styled., and has been tapped as a style consultant to accessories companies, acts as an image consultant to everyone from industry personalities to rock bands, and produces, styles & hosts fashion and charity events.
Alison spent two years writing the fashion column for the popular online magazine Running With Heels, and as a guest writer, Alison has covered NY Fashion Week for SecondCityStyle.com and trend reporting for WhatsWear.com. She has frequently been featured as the style expert on "Paltalk Presents: The Diana Falzone Show" & Cosmo Magazine's Sirius Satellite radio show "Cosmolicious," and has appeared on-camera for FoxNews.com as an engagement ring stylist and in a promotional video for Charles David Shoes. Also as an on-camera personality, Alison was the host of "Finish Me Off!" a make-over show on SheZoom.com and the co-host of the online talk-show "The Alison-Paul Show."
In 2008 Alison co-launched StyleWhipped.com, an online magazine for everything fashion, style, social scene, and culture in NYC. Having been a ballet dancer for 15 years, Alison is actively involved in supporting any form of arts education, and is currently writing a book about successful young entrepreneurs. She can usually be found reorganizing her own closet (again), sporting 5-inch heels to walk her shih-tzu Lucy (even in the rain), and wearing a tiny necklace that says “David” (the best husband ever).
