I love (looooove) a good pair of motorcycle jeans. You know, the ones that are super skinny, look best in dark grey, and have a ton of cool-girl zippers and the prerequisite stitching/quilting at the knees. However, as a woman who is 4'11", I have never (NEVER) been able to find a pair that has the right proportions. That fabulous quilting at the knees? Yeah, it usually ends up somewhere in the middle of my shins because most denim makers don't adjust the scale for tiny sizes. (Insert sad face here.)
But...(cue the angels-singing music) just yesterday, my motorcycle jean luck changed! After stopping into an H&M here in Manhattan after a delish lunch with one of Stylewhipped's favorite photographers Andrew Werner, one of the first racks I spotted was filled with dark grey motorcycle jeans. And for some reason, the size 0 (a "25" at H&M) actually looked little and not just skinny. So I hoped for the best and headed to a dressing room. (Side note...single gay men, if you want to meet someone magnificently good-looking, go to the H&M on 5th Avenue & 19th Street...I nearly drooled on line for said dressing room.) Anyway, guess what?! H&M has done good, really good...they have made proportionally correct motorcycle jeans! The quilting hits right at my knees. They don't need to be hemmed (my other usual issue...you can't hem jeans that have zippers at the ankles!), they fit like a glove (go for as skinny as you can breathe in with this style...they don't look right with even the littlest bit of room in them), and their warm grey wash is both edgy and flattering. Oh, and they are only $39.95!
So seriously, why are you still reading this?! Go buy a pair NOW!
